#8 Mighty Mouse – Broken Neck (-AG)
The late mail before the match was of a foulathon, with heavy sponsorship on the Wicker Men. This was exactly what unfolded when in the first turn Ginebra Ulason fouled Nathan Richardson. He survived though and Ulason was sent from the field. The coach tried to argue the call, but the referee took it the wrong way and banned Covertfun from the field, unable to influence the further fouls which were soon to come.

Andrew Lean got one of the opposition off the pitch but the favour was then repayed when Luke Winter, who had made a daring run into the undead's back field, was knocked out when two ghouls teamed up on him

Nikolai Nikov showed good control to blitz and start some serious pressure on the undead ball carrier. Oblivious to the eye of the referee being focused firmly on them, the undead team put the boot in again. Carney Inness fouled a random house guest who had turned up the night before causing a SI, sending him from the field and ending his guest appearance.

While things were looking good for the Wicker Men, with the ball holder seemingly within striking distance it was not to be. The Shep put one of the opposition off the field and then Andrew Lean successfully blitzed the ball, picked it up and scarpered to safety. Nikolai Nikov knocked himself out while trying to put a block on a ghoul, but his run of good luck had probably come to an end anyway.

As the first half warmed up the spectators were rewarded with a few presents, the Shep and Dan Scott crowd sufing a couple of zombies, leaving the Wicker Men with only five players remaining on the field.

Andrew Lean seeing few players in front of him, gave the ball to Kristian Gatfield, who proceeded to rocket away from what defence remained. Einion Uchdryd, the mummy, made a last desparate lunge as Kristian ran for the line, but fate was against him and he tripped and fell, knocking himself out!

The Wicker Men numbers were boosted at half time as players were back in the action, but the next dent occurred almost immediately when Luke Winter, upon his return to the field, sends another zombie from the back to the reserves bench

With their thrower out with a niggle, it was up to Mighty Mouse to direct the offense and it seemed at first as if the norse were too spread out. However they covered well and were soon in a position to run down the left flank, with little standing in there way.

A failed undead blitz provided the norse with the opportunity to exploit the open gap, which was then followed up with another failed attempt on the ball by a zombie who only managed to knock himself out.

This gave Mighty Mouse the chance to cement his position and when Luke Winter sent a ghoul off for the rest of the match with a beautifully timed hit, the match seemed all sewn up.

A dodging ghoul brought the march to a momentary halt, but Dan Scott retrieved the ball, and ran to the safety of the endzone, while Andrew Quirk and Mighty Mouse crowd surfed two more undead players.

MIghty Mouse will miss the next match due to a broken neck suffered after the kickoff.

Twahnlows go to:
3 Dughall Kunagnos (for his vicious hit on Mighty Mouse)
2 Varney Wynne (for KOing big Nikolai)
1 Bryce Anant (solid all round game)
