“Well folks, a big welcome for new SWL coach Freckles and the Gobs surviving the first game! The fans were out cheering in force, and while they lifted the rerolls, unfortunately they couldn't get their team over the line.
The little green guys were keen as green tomato sauce and were all over the field jumping to the coaches tune. Shame the trolls thought they were at the beach and kept lying down for a nap in the sun. The most excited they seemed to get was when one of the little fellows wandered a little too close and nearly became the afternoon's delicacy.
While the Fossil's fans had all been hoping to see Ratpoker rush another 30+ game, it wasn't to be as he had a falling out with Vrool on the team wagon on the way to the ground. No surprises that when a St5 Saurus insists he is “da man” and starts throwing his weight around, everybody takes cover and agrees - except of course Ratpoker who played with his two pet mice in the back of the dugout for the duration of the game.
3 votes for Nyn. A standout performer of the game with 21 rushed and 2 blocks to boot (but no fouls?).
2 votes for Big Wun. A real 2 edged sword with 6 blocks and about the same number of failed realy (really, really) stupid rolls.
1 vote for Firteen. Not sure what he did, but he got the MVP, so who am I to go against the crowd and not award at least 1 vote?”

The Fossils played energetic, running football and their superior speed and strength saw them easily over the line. OK, over the line several times that is! The Gob Smackers ended the game with a whopping total of 5 SPP's, whilst the Fossils were rolling in the points as the end.
The Gob Smackers were grateful to come away bascially intact, and with a full team for the next round!
