Dice rape pure and simple. Luck reading tells most of the story.

First half I manage to steal the ball when my opponent plays slowly on the sideline and I effect a score. Later on, I have some very nice luck with a 6+ intercept on his good chance to score (3+ pass, 2+ catch, 2+ leap or 3+ dodge to score).

From there, I set up a reply TD. My opponent thought it was pure luck (and the intercept was) but the TD was certainly not. Every roll I made except for one was a two dicer or had a Dodge, Pass or Catch Reroll. The toughest roll I had to make was a 3+ dodge with RR (to open up a dodge square) and then a 2+ hand off to my Thrower who made the pass.

Anyways, second half was a total farce as I got rolled crud after crud after crud. Certainly I missed his Sprint which allowed him to lay a tackle zone on my Thrower, but to roll a one on my first GFI (to blitz his Witch and free up my Catcher) and then roll a 1 for my dodge later was certainly bad luck to give away one of the TDs.

43% vs 59% really does say something. Not saying my opponent played bad, he certainly played well, but he also a whole lot more luck than I did overall, and most crucially, he got a -AV on a Guard Lino where as I got a niggle on an AG5 Catcher.

Oh well, just seems the bad luck has been coming a lot recently, with 4 players niggled (one aged post game) - and three of them AG5 players in the last 4 matches for a return of far less money.”
