A staggering crowd - 155 000 fans choked the pews in the stadium this day...no doubt only possible due to the swarming tendencies of the skaven to infest every nook and cranny available. Alas...it'll be weeks this time before we rid the Snorriheim bowl of the stench. But we wouldn't miss these occasions for the world.
Such large crowds however so often tend to hype up a game to a dissapointing anti-climax. But on this occasion, as with all three of their previous encounters, the crowd would not leave dissapointed!
The Vanguard got the better of the first half and still looked fresh going into the second half to face the savage claws for another round - something they weren't able to do in their last game. And then a tumultuous drive from the Vermin was spoiled by an amazingly agile turn from the Vanguard only to have the game halted as the crowd rioted out of control.
Thankfully, the game finally resumed...the skaven found their attitude once again and despite trailing 3-1, looked fiercely keen to fight back to a draw. Three savage blows in quick time and a deft one turner left the score at 3-2 with one turn to play. The scrimmage line set...and the rats got a blitz! But alas, in their eagerness they'd gotten the whole team embroiled on the scrimmage line and couldn't pull off the final act of the drama.
The Vanguard and the Vermin are now locked at two games each and the stage is set for an absolute perler to break the deadlock, but it may not be for some time...can the crowds wait?

Easily ran in the one turner to give the rats a chance at levelling.”
