The Riot won the toss and took the ball in the pouring rain.

The Ghosts kick went middling and a little wide where Tumult fielded it and handed it to Maelstrom. The Riot pack was led by a charging Ruckus who dazed the witch Glasala. The elvish defence closed and returned Ruckus' favour as the Riot pack ground to a halt in a halfway line brawl as Warrior Clash'n'Wail stunned the elf-ogre Stiles Deadeye.

Astoria cleared the path for a recovered Glasala to down Maelstrom on the ball, but Clash'n'Wail responded in kind by smashing Glasala senseless and taking the ball for himself, lurching the riot scrum towards the middle of the field. The brawl raged, with Doom Bringer sending Hubbub from the pitch and Stiles shoving Clash'n'Wail on the ball.

Clash rushed away from the elven pack, too fast though and fell ball and all in clear ground some distance from the pack, stunning himself and his fans. The elves screened the ball off as Dagger collected it and threw a long clean ball to the waiting Glasala. The Riot were helpless to stop Glasala running it in.

On the restart the clock was reset favourably for the Riot and the kick fell right by the runner Maelstrom. The Riot scrum headed right this time, in a more composed screen of warrior and beast. With Hijinks stunning the ogre-elf Ichor Bowstring on the way through. Again the elves closed ranks as the Riot fought for a clear path to the line for Maelstrom. The Riot scrum inched forwards with time left on the clock, but Stiles cleared a path for Doom bringer who downed Maelstrom as Ichor Bowstring recovered the ball and threw defensively to Glasala, who spilt the pass. Tumult's attempt to put pressure on the dead ball failed dismally as he tripped himself in a wild charge on Avaria...leaving the Elves a chance to throw again. But again Glasala's hands let them down as the wet ball slipped from her grasp.

Ruckus took the chance to charge down Glasala again and Tumult regained his footing and the ball and sprinted for the line to bring the scores level.

The sun broke through the clouds, as the second half begun. But the elven blockers struggled against the big Riot line and Glasala made a mess of her charge on Tumult. The Riot closed on the Ghosts line and the brawl began. Ichor rendered another beast senseless, as the elves fought successfully for some room to move. Dark Pool-Eyes collected the ball and handed off to thrower Sangre Halfmoon who ghosted wide and deep away from the Riot brawlers. The Riot defence was left a little thin but gathered their shape as best they could but Halfmoon's handoff to Dark Pool-Eyes was dropped and the Rioters attempted to close on the loose ball, but too few could get there and Sangre recovered to throw long to a waiting Doom Bringer and it was 2-1.

At the restart the elven defence came up perfect and kicked onside and away from the Riot line. But Tumult collected it cleanly and raced behind a screen of beasts as the Riot pack again tried to clear a path forward on the right. The elves closed right hard but left a big area in the middle for the Riot pack to run through. The speeding Tumult was well screened from the elven defenders and the scores went tied at 2-2.

At the restart there was little time left but enough for a Ghost score to win it for them. Mindful of the Riot's 11 game unbeaten record, the Riot fans took matters legal into their own hands and "persuaded" the ref to be sympathetic to their cause.

The kick went middle-short and the Elves looked for a way through the Riot line. Ogre-Elf Stiles shoved Turmoil to make space for Glasala to eye the line but the witch was met and ko'd by a Ruckus charge, as the Riot defence got similarly heavy handed with all potential Elven scorers and the game closed level.
