Worst is, I knew it would happen -- as soon as I got the ref on the first turn, I thought to myself, with usual cynicism, "This can't be good".
And it wasn't. As expected, Nuffle took perverse pleasure in inverting the luck. My fouls were not too good despite my DP (one apo'd Niggle) while his fouls powered through me (in total, 2 Niggles and 1 MNG ... out of four total fouls, without DP).
The blocking was also really, really good for the orcs, apart from a lot of skulls at the end of the first half. You do the math: 9 cas caused, 3 fouls, means 6 regular cas despite there being only a couple Mighty Blows on the orcs.
All in all, I guess I should be grateful to get a draw; certainly this team is dangerously close to retirement now.”
