Hans Strekker was a two-bit thief that languished in Baron Sargrimm's dungeon after he was found guilty of petty theft. After losing both of his former catchers to unfortunate accidents, the Baron gave Strekker a choice. Either join his team as a replacement catcher or be hung. While Blood Bowl itself can be a death sentence, the certainy of dying when hung convinced Strekker to throw his lot in with the Hellions. Hans' speed comes from adrenalin fueled terror rather than any natural ability. Strekker continues to hope for escape, but until then he performs as best he can to keep himself alive.
Strekker's fate finally caught up with him when he tried to make a break for it instead of paying attention to the game. He was blindsided by an undead team member and soon found himself free: of life.
