Dispite her name, Driad is not actually half demon. She is a full blooded elf, who's mother was exposed to warpstone early in the pregnancy. The result was Driad who was black skinned and called demonborn from birth. Both mother and daughter alike were exiled into the wilderness where her mother continued to mutate. Losing much of herself, she never lost her motherly instinct though and raised Driad. Her mother was killed by an angry mob, and Driad sought out Xargon who was more than happy to welcome her to Wileywood.
