Dio was the key factor in the Heavy Metal Eagles' first victory. But in the 4th game against an amazon team, he got knocked into the crowd. A fight erupted in the stands between fans of both teams around the player. In the midst of the ongoing brawl, Dio's eye fell on an amazon beauty cheering for her team (he couldn't have missed her, since he got knocked onto her). It was love at first sight. They managed to sneak out of the fight together and left their lives to start a new one together.

After the fight in the stands settled down, a quite bashed up Dark Elf corpse was found wearing Dio's shirt. And so he was reported dead. Altough some of his teammates who saw the corpse swear that it wasn't Dio himself. The fans mourned their first loss, but Dio didn't mind. He found living in a tiny hut in the middle of the jungle wasn't such a bad life, as long as the company is alright.
