Dáire was a wealthy man before the war. He was well respected for his sense of justice and his fine red beard. He owned a nice herd of cattle and some particularly impressive bulls. Unfortunately when the war began the pride of his herd was stolen. Dáire abandoned his lands, spent his wealth on the accoutrements of war, and joined the Ruffians in the hope of one day finding the thieves and slaughtering them mercilessly.
