Chuck Downfield was known by the fans as the Sons 5th Blitzer, and despite Coach Stikkyfingers best efforts to instill some agility training, Chuck preferred to run with the pack.
It took Chuck 28 games to score his first casualty, and as he grew in popularity and status within the team he also became more and more arrogant. This came to a head when Chuck reached legendary status, the sixth Son ever to reach this milestone. The Coach had wanted Chuck to become more of a utility player, and take on kicking duties, however Chuck refused.
Club finances prevented the Coach from sacking Chuck, however when Chuck was permanently injured from the boot of a hobgoblin on a turn 16 foul, the Coach was able to force agreement from the Owners that Downfield's days were over.
