Brantford's top player, and rightfully so. McFarlane's 5 pass completions in a game still stands as a record for the team today and his accuracy with the ball has earned him many a fan with the Brantford faithful.
McFarlane is starting to break down physically, however. During a game against Ogre team Big Goofs, McFarlane threw a bead to receiver Koji Nagata. As Koji streaked towards the end zone chased by goblins an Ogre followed through and tackled McFarlane. With the weight of the Ogre coming down on him and the position of his leg from throwing his knee was seriously injured.
After missing a game McFarlane returned, showing his dedication to the team. Doctors, however, are on hand for every Samurai game and may even not allow McFarlane to play if his knee isn't in top shape that day. The only thing that's been slowed is his movement on the pitch, though. Since the injury McFarlane has been better than ever and wants to lead the Samurai to a better record than what they currently have.
