Jaheira's husband, and almost her polar opposite. Khalid is a peace-loving warrior with a pronounced stutter. Like Jaheira, he is a member of the Harpers. Jaheira and Khalid were friends of Gorion, and Gorion leaves instructions for the protagonist to meet with them after he is killed in an ambush at the beginning of the game. Canonically, the events of Baldur's Gate are completed with Khalid in the party.
