Uncle Istvan was a prior member from a group of Rotters that were looking to beat up the Night Patrol for guarding their masters well... and realizing how this job was a lot better, he ditched his old team and joined the Patrol.

After sweeping the Patrol headquarters for several years, Uncle Istvan had a stroke, and was paralyzed, requiring him to stay at home.
