In his youth Horst was known in his village for his dashing good looks, and when he was selected as part of the tithe to the local Vampire Lords, it was thought his charisma would protect him from the worst of the abuses that thralls often suffer. He volunteered for the Lightening team, as if they play well, team thralls can have the comfiest lives of all thralls in service, however, his owner, Herrin Isolde von Waldenhof, selected him for role of team kicker and decreed that each time he mis-kicked in training, correct technique would demonstrated on his face. As such he soon earned his new name of Schweingesicht (Pig Face), however within a few weeks had his kicking at an acceptable level. Since then Horst has shown great dedication to the team and become something of a fan favourite.
