The result of a particularly dark and yuckie experiment, even by Gerald's standards, Xar'anx is a fusion of an unremarkable rookie Skaven Blitzer with body parts scrounged from the corpse of the legendary Ber'anx. The strange power to overcome death that typified the prolonged life of Ber'anx seems to have survived in his remains and allowed them to fuse onto the new rodent body and thrive, producing a half zombie-rat-man with many of the same mutations and characteristics as the donor skaven.
