Sometimes referred to as Elf-Killer by those who know his unsettling history, Ronald Leiber plays the sport to satiate his lust for elven blood. He grew up in a small logging community in the forests near Marienburg. Aside from the occasional Bretonnian war party passing through, Leiber didn't know much conflict during his childhood. In his early teen years though, the loggers found a grove that they learned all too late was connected to Athel Loren via a world root. Shortly after the grove was cut down, wood elf waywatchers arrived to take revenge for the humans cutting down their trees. They murdered nearly the entire logging village, and Leiber barely escaped with a couple other survivors.

Vowing to take vengeance, Lieber believed his calling to be the Gunnery School at Nuln. He would become a rifleman and hunt the wood elves down. After a couple years at the school and finding out he'd most likely get sent to defend the farms near Altdorf from beastmen, he decided he needed a new way to kill Elves. This is when he found Blood Bowl. He had watched it on Cabalvision plenty of times, and always loved seeing the Reikland Reavers put the hurt on an elf team. So when he discovered the School's team, he signed up for tryouts. He was only on the team for a year before the school cut its funding, but was happy to follow Von Kessel in reforming the team as independent. Von Kessel wanted a good player like Leiber, so he promised him good matches against elves in exchange for his service to the team. Von Kessel held to his promise, as their first four official matches were against local elven teams.

...

After a broken jaw that put him out of the final games of the Hexoatl Open, Leiber just couldn't take a punch anymore. He still serves the team as a loyal fan, but Captain Duncan had to let him go for a new blitzer who could hold the line.
