Edd Kruk was nothing more than underpaid muscle working on the docks in Pfieldorf before he found the Sharpshooters. It was during the Sharpshooters' move Eastward to find a new stadium that Kruk first met them.
In a tavern called the Grinning Griffon, James Duncan and Varrick Calron found themselves in a bit of trouble with a local blood bowl team that couldn't shake the idea that they needed to show this big college team a lesson on 'blocking'. Eleven to two didn't seem like much of a fair fight, and Kruk was feeling fed up with seeing the underdogs lose all the time.
When James Duncan saw the ten foot tall silhouette appear behind the dozen assailants, he was worried his day was about to get much worse. Then two of the attackers were lifted off the ground and thrown out the second story window and Duncan got the idea that they might survive this. After this helpful ogre plowed through the rest of them like one of the steamtanks back in Nuln, Duncan knew he needed to show him to 'Big' Bernard.
The rest is history. Kruk left his old job at the docks and found a new profession where he could hit people on a regular basis and be part of a team that cared about him.

Despite the team trying to use revenge as a motivation for him, Edd just hasn't been himself since his best friend was ripped in half by a Saurus. He still plays for the team, but not with as much heart as he did when he fought by Captain Duncan.
