Watang knew from his studies that a mixture of Strength and Agility was crucial to success on the field. Therefore he recruited several of the Gorilla nobility who live around the Library. Surya is a distant cousin of King Indra and was instrumental in getting the team into the league for it's first real taste of Blood Bowl.
Until recently, Surya has never missed a match although even despite his injury he is often the best player on the pitch. He's even scored a touchdown!
