Recruited from the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Benders in the second game of Out of Conference play in Season #36, where Tripp Bender was a rookie elf lineman. Tripp was recruited by Cal Norton, Jr at the end of the first half. Given a jersey and a dixie cup of beer, and transferred to UTEP as a Civil Engineering major, the lad has a bright future now at the University of Texas at El Paso.
