The Bleakwood was devastated by the loss of its star blitzer Conrad Einhorn, but it nurtured a small hope. There were other Einhorns, and perhaps the talent ran in the family? Like his brother Conrad, Dieter was a Blood Bowl player. He was a decidedly worthless one, spending more time in the town pub than on team training sessions. One dark and rainy night as Dieter was heading home from said pub after yet another loss in the local Stirland league Arcanius Niculescu appeared before him, holding out a contract written in glowing necromantic runes and promising him eternal glory as the new star of the Bleakwood Haunters. Perhaps it was hunger for glory, or envy of his older brother, or maybe he was just too drunk to understand what he was doing, but Dieter signed the contract and sold his soul to the Bleakwood.
