Second gutter to reach 76 spp w/o aging, and first player ever of mine to reach 126 spp w/o aging...guess all those players aging at 6 and 16 spp has finally earned me a little leniency...
In his 66th game (the team's 69th...he's one of two original team members left), Shinai earned the right to add "Legend" to his career resume. He didn't do it by scoring tons (though he has 31 to his credit), just by being a steady, dependable presence in the backfield on both offense and defense. Although age has finally caught up to him and he's developed a bit of tendonitis in his knees (aged a niggle), his experience has invested in him a concentration few can match. We will retain Shinai's services for the time being, with the ultimate goal of making him the top interceptor of all time. Only 6 more to tie the record...
Alas, that record will not be attained, not in this lifetime. A nasty goblin troll laid his big mitts on poor Shinai, smashing his kneecaps and further aggravating his tendonitis, making it doubly hard for this valiant rat to be ready for gameday. The coaching staff is proud to count Shinai as an alumnus, and wish him only the best in his well-deserved retirement.
