Grendel made a promising debut against the Aaarg Starz, holding the centre of the Line all game and failing only a single bone-head roll. Perhaps this ogre is an unusually intelligent example of the breed? He also scored a casualty, and is certainly a player to watch.

In the games since then Grendel has showed the same intelligence but a disturbing fragility, getting injured far more often than an Ogre should. In his 4th game he managed to stay on the pitch to the final whistle for the first time, and apparently earned the MVP as a result.

Grendel has continued to show fragility, getting a niggling injury and after sitting out a game he refused to play in the game after that either, complaining of lingering nerve pain. This game was against a Khemri team and the Knights were relying on Grendel to keep at least one Mummy of his teammates backs. As a result of his absence, a key Lineman was killed and another SI, so needless to say Grendel isn't very popular with management right now and is likely to be fired as soon as the team can save up enough money.

Grendel was retired after 12 games with the Knights, as the pain from his old injury has never fully healed. He will be missed.
