Mukk got his nickname from the high pitched scream he emitted when he saw his cousin Fungus die and realized that he would be forced to take his place on the field.

Retirement:
Mukk's career wasn't much longer than Fungus, and ended with a badly smashed hip that will leave him a cripple for life.
