Well dwarfes are not known to be the fastest players of the game, and after being injured Ambrose discovered that he had problems keeping up even with his fellow team mates! Knowning this there was little chance he would ever be able to catch any opposing players at all!
Realizing this meant there was no point in continuing his active career...
Ambrose went home and jointed the army. Rumor says he is already heading for sergeant.
