The real name of Black Mamba is Tanya Sealy.
Tanya was born in Chicago. She is an ex-call girl, chosen by the Roxxon Oil Company to partake in illegal covert operations. The executives at Roxxon decided to surgically implant a special component in her brain which enables her slight telepathic abilities. After a successful raid, Tanya left Roxxon and joined a criminal organization called the Serpent Society. She is currently member of a villainous mercenary-for-hire group named B.A.D. Girls, Inc., which was founded by former members of the Serpent Society.
Tanya is a telepath, with the ability to tap into a person's mind and determine what they love or trust. She also projects a cloud of energy known as Darkforce - she can shape it like a second skin. She traditionally uses it to assume the appearance of someone's loved one, and then to drain their energy via that Darkforce while they're in thrall to it; this can leave her victim untouched, unconscious, or dead (although they die in ecstasy in this case).
