Milner was promoted from Private to Lance Corporal due to his and Paul Robsons valiant efforts in defending the Commandos 1-1 situation during the last few turns of a game against human team Freedom Federation. Milner tied the ball and players against four opponent players that led to an opponent blitzer failing his sprint and securing the tie.
Promotion to full corporal came in a match Upgraded Mutations. Although the game was lost 6-1 Fred showed his true talents, niggling one rat, badly hurting one and finally killing a rat ogre permanently. For this he was also awarded the prestigious Marienburg Cross.
Fred Milner, prestigious warrior, great player and a distinguished captain of the Commandos, met the end he would probably have wanted in his 80th game. He was killed in the field. His Marienburg cross now rests above the teams locker room as a reminder for heroism, valour and courage that all represent the Commandos.
