Comedian Flip Wilson Dies at 64
November 26,1998
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- In 1970, the news was filled with anti-war demonstrations and black power. On the nation's TV screens, Flip Wilson put on a wig and a minidress and became Geraldine, who screeched: ``What you see is what you get!''
He wasn't a spokesman for race issues, but Wilson broke racial barriers, becoming the first black host of a top television variety show.
Wilson died Wednesday, November 25, 1998 of liver cancer at his Malibu home with his daughter, Michelle, by his side, said Angie Hill, the comedian's assistant. He was 64.
Wilson had undergone surgery Oct. 2 at St. John's Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica for a malignant tumor that was close to his liver.
The man who gave the world Geraldine and the catch phrase ``the devil made me do it!'' crossed all lines with his comedy, said the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who said he had known the comedian since the 1970s.
``Flip was a breakthrough artist for African-Americans,'' Jackson said Thursday in a telephone interview. ``He led with a brand of comedy that was clean and decent and not vulgar. To the end, he was a man I held in high esteem -- as a comedian and as a person.''

Quatroskulled in turn 8 when I was about to score and skill another player... silly old girl. Is awesome with quatros though! I did it once more but cant remember who did it. Versus Asteroid Blues
Killed <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=4215548">Snow Ball</a> from La Yena´s Pimp my tail. Apo failed. Got new skill at 76 - shadowing. Is now number two at total blocks of active amazon players. Third ever on the team to get over 76 spp.
Played 84 of 86 games! And then she gets mng directly. ;-D But stop stealing mvp´s from the rest of the team!
Finally she got hurt. In the LC-finals 1/8-game, of an apo-fail. I dont have the spirit to fire her. When she becomes number one blocker, observe not cas-maker, I will think about it again! 128 left, if not that other girl could quit playing!

Played game 100 vs Chaosrulez. A fun game and a great chat were she had a chance to make 2-0 (or was it 2-1?) but the beastmen got her. The game ended with a crazy td for the ladies in turn 16, great madness. 2009-02-12
In her 103rd game, she was niggled by an human ogre of Twin Peaks Police Department in turn 3 and the apo failed. I guess the story is over... but she got the mvp. So there is still hope.
And yes!!! She is up for xfl 2009! With two niggles she is one hell of an outsider. We will see if it was wise or not!
BUT - of some weird reason my team wasnt allowed to play. Flip became so upset she decided to stop playing immediately and are now a gardener in south Wales.
