He was hired because his best friend an Orc who also has the name Downie. Plays on a Sevensies team called Da Bushwhackers, Downie the Orc is infact the son of the owner of the skaven team so Downie the Skaven managed to land the job pretty easy. Both Downie and his friend Downie do indeed have Down Syndrome, but on rare occasions the Downies are met with a glimpse of greatness and perform a move that only the most talented of stars could perform! They always seem to be the thrower and the leader of the teams they are on even though Downie the Rat has actually not spoken a word in the past 6 six years.
