Perparim Hetemaj (born December 12, 1986 in Srbica, Kosovo, Serbia) is a Kosovo Albanian footballer with Finnish citizenship. He currently plays for AEK Athens FC of the Greek Super League.
Hetemaj is a midfielder who started his career with HJK Helsinki, making his Veikkausliiga debut in 2005. He joined AEK in the summer of 2006 for a fee of 450.000 euros.
"Perpa" is known as a flashy and entertaining player. He instantly became an important member of the AEK team, having played seven league and one cup match. He also appeared in four Champions League matches. Hetemaj's season ended in an abrupt manner in February 2007, when he suffered a fractured leg after a tackle by Kevin Thomson during a match between Finnish and Scottish national B sides.
