Caffran was almost selected for the Gereon Mission, but was left with the regiment in favour of Criid. With the 81/1 he has platoon command as a sergeant. A promotion that was long overdue, he could have been giving his promotion as soon as Fortis Binary where he first showed his grasp of leadership.
