Lugalbanda's beard coils are actually capped with hooks. While it makes eating and drinking a mildly risky proposition, it has the added bonus of making him a walking ball trap. It's already paid off at least once, as simply positioning himself in the line of fire has resulted in an interception. The hooks combined with his preternaturally large frame makes him one of the strongest blockers in Zharr-Naggrund.
