A showy punch, only ever going to work against mismatched opponents or when there is a drastic difference in speed. It is simply a big left hook thrown from distance, normally set up by head fakes or feints. Roy Jones Jr is one of the only fighters to have the hand speed to make this one work without lots of set up but Mike Tyson in his early years would throw a lot of long left hooks, normally setting his taller opponent up by slipping jabs.
