EX-CAPTAIN OF BOKONON UNITED!
In his first game, Whip-Smart KO'd the biggest guy on the pitch, ran in a touch-down and then died on the last turn, only to get up again - with his arm hanging off and his eye out of it's socket - so he could do the lap of honour.
His effort and determination showed the Bokonon boys what they could achieve on the field of play and no longer did they decide to fall over a lot and die all the time. No they could win games! They could hurt the opponent! They could find glory!
One game was all it took for Whip-Smart to change the destiny of the team, and the decision to, er... captainify ... him was unanimous.
Oh, apparently Eric Stoltz was the MVP for that game, but whoever decided that was on crack.
5th May 09 - A tightly fought match against the Khemri descended into a brutal fistfight spread over the pitch. The Captain was doing his duty, fending off a mummy single-handedly when the inevitable horror occurred. Not even the apothecary could stitch Whip-smart's crushed liver back into his torso. A statue will be built. A statue made from tears.
