Startling as it might be to consider, no-one knows Grinshank's true name. The theories stretch backwards through drunk vicars and hasty marriages to various nicknames acquired on 'da streetz'. His team consider it a testament to his perpetually cheerful nature - though his opponents often leave the field limping after a friendly stab.
Grinshank has often seemed a bit non-plussed at all this drama. As far as he is concerned, it's just what they call him. When quizzed about the matter in a particularly candid post-match interview, he once opined "I iz not da name, I iz da numba 3. Dat be good play by de ladz, ye kno, er, ah, ye."
