Bootsie Funkshire is a scrapper from way back in the Funkshire. He grew up watching Blood Bowl as a fan in the stands, occasionally storming the pitch or participating in a riot with the crowd. While his parents, friends, clerics, former roommates, other Blood Bowl fans, even coaches and past players, attempted to convince him not to play Blood Bowl, he threw caution to the wind and soon found himself among the ranks of the freebooter players, hiring on to whatever team would take him.

Bootsie's first appearance with Spork Attack was as a Freebooter in the team's <A href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=228326" target="_blank">second game</A> versus the dark elf team, the <A href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=48810" target="_blank">Bling Bling Kings</A>. He lasted nearly two turns into the first half before the witch elf <A href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=558901" target="_blank">Marcus</A> threw a blitz at him, badly hurting Bootsie. He rode the bench in agony the rest of the game. However, for such a stellar performance, he was hired on to the payroll to replace <A href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=628830" target="_blank">Jinx Nimbletoes</A>, who retired to the coaching staff.

The Management of Spork Attack hopes to get a few games out of Bootsie before he gets to permanently ride the pine.
