After Unghouliant's sad demise, Las Shamblas management/cryptkeepers decided they might as well replace him with the next best thing: his son. Raised as a ghoul (after they'd had to arrange an 'accident' for him) like his father before him, somebody neglected to actually ask him what his name was. "Son of Unghouliant" was the somewhat unimaginative name thought up by the writers of the matchday programme for his debut, and it's stuck with him ever since.
