I don't know about you, but personally, if given a choice between death, and life as a dwarf, I know what my decision would be. Etabax apparently agreed with my philosophy and abandoned his short compatriots at the earliest possible time. In the grand scheme of things, he lost a pulse, a point of armor, and his dental coverage. But such things are a small price to pay to have one's dignity restored.
