The Captain and leader of the Swartzhafen Nightmares, Ulric Blooddrinker has returned to the Blood Bowl world in order to re-establish his old reputation as being amongst the mightiest and most dangerous blitzers around.

In his previous life, he was notorious for his bloodthirsty nature and sheer level of violence that one could easily mistake him for a Vampire as he gorged on the gruesome remains of his (mostly) dead opponents. Merciless, psychotic and downright insane, Ulric became a massive hit to all those Blood Bowl fans who tuned in for nothing more than a good show of on-pitch etiquette. What made him even a bigger hit was his apparent invulnerability. Be it facing down a pair of Ogres or being flattened by half a team, Ulric always returned in one piece in his plate armour.

However, in a notoriously violent match against a Chaos team, Ulric met his end as an arrow flew from the crowd and struck him right in the heel. Mere inches away from the end zone, he attempted to drag himself to the touchdown line, but his life was finally put to rest when an immense Minotaur, later identified as Galrash Ironhorn, impaled, crushed, gutted, and finally splattered the once great man which was Ulric Blooddrinker.

With his return to the fields of Blood Bowl, Ulric still wearing the same armour and now lacking any vital points, has sworn revenge on all those who will stand against him and seeks in particular the Minotaur who once took his life.

Faith would prove to be painfully Ironic as Ulric finally met his end against a notorious Chaos team. While it did not kill him, it dented the very place he had been wounded so long ago. He demanded to be resurrected for a second time as to repair his broken body. The Necromancer complied and now Ulric feels nothing but a drive to slay all those followers of the Dark Gods!
