Max Schmerz is one of humanity's greatest ever players and (in)famous personalities, endorsing dozens of his own consumer products with off pitch antics that rocketed him into the public eye.

Max' initial rise to stardom wasn't exactly meteoric to begin with. Coach took a gamble on the tall youth, a member of the original Bengal team at the age of just 17. Playing alongside early stars like Heinrich 'Pulveriser' Peterson, Max adopted a backseat role in the field, learning how to guard his team mates' backs. Critics claim this humbling start as the only thing preventing Max from quitting Blood Bowl and starting his own cult.

It wasn't long however until Max's sinewy, increasingly athletic build, combined with countless hours of ball handling drills began to pay dividends (+Ag and he soon found himself in a great position of responsibility as the team's designated ball carrier.

Max thrived on it however, ever hungry for glory. He focused on his speed in an attempt to always be the fastest man on the team, again, his rigorous training and ferocious genetics working to terrific effect (+Ma).

He wanted to be untouchable with precious ball in hand and focusing on ducking and diving with especially hired elven coaches he learned to dodge far more competently, himself achieving an almost elf-like dexterity.

Still just a young man, Max's physical accomplishments were yet to be complete, transforming his sinewy frame into a beast of lean muscle. Now 24 and a fully grown man standing at 6'11'' Max is a formidable opponent, capable to massive feats of strength and able to muscle even the bulkiest orc off the ball (+St).

Max's monster ball carrying ability was almost fully rounded but on the insistence of Coach, Max focused on developing extremely sure hands, able to keep the ball clutched to his chest even against the sneakiest of tricks and snatching up balls from veritable scrums.

Achieved Legend-hood on the 29th of February, 2012. My first ever legend and general all round badass.

Killed by skaven blitzer tic (https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=8948473), still at large on the team ratonlaveur, on the 13th of November 2012.

Game 55: vs Mind Bullets - Inspired by the scantily clad babes and some really very talented cheer leaders, Max took his entrepreneurial talents to a new level, redesigning his team strip with a new ostentatiously sized codpiece (albeit with questionable protective qualities). About this time Max acquired a liking for removing his helmet and using it as a ball-basket, because in his words 'it's just not fair for the chicks to not see THIS face, even for a second'.

Game 80: Coach MVP vs Daemon's Stump Devils

Game 81: Coach MVP vs Hell Princes - after a fairly unspectacular showing Max proved his undeniable worth with an insane manouevre in the dying seconds of the game. Making an exquisite dodge, sliding on his knees under 4 opponent chaos, leaping onto his toes to vault over the shoulder of the befuddled chaos warrior, before rising in a bone crunching uppercut not even the most slippery of elves could have avoided he then proceeded to dummy the beast linebacker, snatching up the ball in his shadow and land into a straight sprint to the safety of his defensive team mate Toby Kant (6 dodge, 4 dodge, 2d (pow), 3 dodge, 3 pick up, 2 dodge, 2 gfi, 2 gfi. A heroic play that will certainly be remembered recovering the ball to safety and securig 57th win for the Bengals.

Game 139: Missed out on a coach MVP by a hair as Max slays the mighty minotaur [a href="http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=8696344">Renaldo Carioca, ripping out the beast's throat with his bare hands, far beyond the fumbled attempts of the apoth.

Game 140: Coach MVP vs Its a good day to die on - Max continues his top form by playing a belter of a game against a nurgle team. Decaying, superhuman creatures pressing the lads on all sides catching us flat on our feet at the kick off and Max proves his well deserved legend status. KO-ing the opposition's star pestigor and another for good measure, there was no stopping his impressive rush as humanity hails it's new no.2 all time champion.

Game 141: Coach MVP vs Coffee Lovers - Max's formidable game just gets better and better. After a disappointing start after a particularly messy one with the lads it took a while for the captain to get his head into the game, but once he did...scoring 2 touchdowns while an on-point chaos dwarf team laid waste to the rest of the team there was, as usual, no stopping Herr Schmerz. Rounding things off with a hobgoblin in his sickbed things were still looking dreary for the team as the chaotic stunties could do no wrong. Max sprints around to the undefended ball carrier, smashing him to the floor, rolling out of the ensuing dogpile onto him, crunching his would be assailant down before deftly scooping the ball and running it in for the 3-1 victory. That ladies and gents, is a legend.

Game 143: Coach MVP vs Neck Wreckers - Max 'One-man-army' Schmerz does it again in a thrilling victory as the orc coach succumbed to Max's sideline jibes (after breaking several orc fans intent on doing the same to him after an unlucky crowd push) that stalling for draws was for 'snotlings and fething GIRLS' and the legend ran in the winning touchdown to the delight of the assembled Bengal-supporting masses.
