Jethro Blockmore had a stunning rookie game. Needing several hardy dwarf blockers (due to injuries and deaths) the coaching staff looked to Jethro. While Jethro spent the first half holding the line and throwing several blocks, it was his play on the second half that caused quite a stir.
The Hammers were up 1 - 0 after the half, and were making steady progress towards the endzone when a Dark Elf Blitzer knocked the ball out of Runner Gri's hands. With an elf poised to catch the ball down field, a second Blitzer scooped up the ball and lobbed it towards the awaiting scorer. In a rarely seen display of Dwarven athletics, Jethro launched himself skyward, nabbed the ball, and ran it back for a touchdown!
Jethro was presented with a contract offer as soon as he stepped off the field.
