When the hunters drew the dwarf team of Dorfs United for their season opener many fans of the sport were eagerly waiting to see just how much of the Hunters would be left after the first opening moments of the game. 1st round pick Fanriel claimed to take no notice of what some mouth-breathers are writing about the upcoming match, but few would doubt that it had had some effect on his mental disposition after witnessing the naked brutality he unleashed in the very first block of the game, leaving blocker Belli Graniteshadow in a bloody heap that had to be carried off the pitch with a stretcher. As this evacuation was in progress, Fanriel was seen nodding slightly with satisfaction: the message had been sent.

After sending the message in the first match of the season Fanriel seemed content to lay low and let the other blitzers on the team handle the highlight reel performances. When time came for him to pick up the slack though, he delivered, with an astonishing performance against the necromantic team of Whispering in the Dark that saw him scoring the Hunters' only touchdown and earned the MVP for the match with a truly stunning performance stalling by their endzone. It was sadly not enough to win the match for them, but definitely another message to all the fans who had questioned whether he still had a great showing like this to give.

With a small dry spell again following an all-star performance the management seems strangely content to let Fanriel play on the highest level only when he feels like it. Then again with performances like the one against the nurgle team of Pestosos de Lenningor who could ask for more? It seemed like the game was destined for a draw after some rare mistakes from many players on the team, but suddenly an opening arrived and it was Fanriel who was the key player on which everything hinged. He snatched a beauty of a pass from fellow blitzer Farnoth, no matter the pestering beastman Amancio that was trying to hold him and then went on to dodge right past him to score on the very last moments of the game and deciding the win. It was a miraculous play.

Apparently Fanriel does read the newspapers for he was clearly steaming at the insinuation that he will again cool down and take it easy for the couple next matches. He came out roaring for blood against the chaos team of Triple Crowns and delivered a performance for the ages that included a beauty of a hit on their warrior blocker Grixgore in the late stages of the second half and capped it all off by earning the MVP for the match. With performances like these it seems that Farnoth's position as the definitive star of the team is threatened.
