Roberchek was a small weedy kid who was generally shunned until TCO found him one day stealing from the magic labs in school, but boy was Roberchek fast, but not fast enough to be caught by the caretaker who all but blocked the hallway with his sheer girth.
As team captain and assistant coach at the time TCO had all but the final say on team members, and made a deal with Roberchek as long as he doesn't steal from the teammates he would fix it so Roberchek wouldn't be punished by the headmaster.
Little did TCO know but young Roberchek was already hooked to warpstone and this had sped him up to his current speeds.
After school Roberchek found finding honest work hard with his warpstone addiction getting worse by the day till he was hooked on 4 times daily fixes.
He paid for this with petty larceny as he knew all the local thieve. He made the grave mistake of attempting to steal from the hotel TCO was staying in, and his room of all rooms.
Knowing where he was TCO had set-up some magical traps bought from a local wizard due to high amount of crime in the city. Roberchek set one off, and when he saw the face of the man he was going to rob, his jaw dropped. Roberchek knew TCO had tried to help him as a kid, and with fate giving them another chance encounter Roberchek decided enough was enough and he will get off the warpstone.
And with Grimsby's Gladiators short, Roberchek filled the position and is the only member not under the barons orders, only him, TCO and the Baron know that though.
