Dragan Holcer was born in concentration camp in Germany at the and of the 2nd world war. He started as a handball player and just by accident he begun with football. For 7 years he was a part of Hajduk's golden generation, 214 games as a stoper. He was team captain and head of the defense. 1976 he moved to Stuttgard in to 2nd Bundesliga and became there immedeatly the captain and again the team leader. With him Stuttgard was promoted back to the Bundesliga and resulting back to the top teams of the league (5th,2nd,3rd,3rd). He ended his carrer at Schalke 04 with 37 years.
