Sir Danecek Wymodeson was a highly promising player who died in his first match in a major league due to a play organised by the very person who pushed for him to be picked up, Lairde Zibohk, who ironically also died in that match during the very last drive.

This was unknown by the people who paid Miracle Max to attempt to resurrect them, and when they turned out to be more than merely 'mostly dead', as Max tends to put it, the contract for their resurrection stipulated that Max got to retain their bodies as players in the team he has managed ever since the Emperor fired him.

Some... minor animosity remains between the two, although they generally keep it under control on the pitch - whether this is on their own recognisance or due to bindings placed by Max is a closely-held team secret, for fear of exploitation by opposing teams.
