Motto: "Roar for LSU!"

Field: Patriot Training Field or PTF.

Ownership: https://fumbbl.com/p/team?op=view&showmatches=1&team_id=1099838

Sponsor: The Lyonesse Patriots have largely bankrolled Lyonesse State University's football program as a kind of farm team. Specifically, the Patriots want to see more of their kind of players in the draft and although there aren't any guarantees at least there will be more players that will interest them. The staff at LSU has been handpicked by the Patriot organization. The old school colors were blue and silver, but the influence of the professional team has lent a third color to their regalia, red. The Lions want to focus at developing block, guard, and dodge skills on this roster and golden armed quarterbacks. The Patriots are one of the few pass heavy offenses in DLE and the Lions playstyle emulates their backers. Similarly, the defense utilizes a modified column field cutoff system similar to the pro squad.

Composition: The Lyonesse Lions recruit their players from the local provincial pool, but with their expenses being covered by the Patriots' they have been able to recruit everywhere. LSU used to be composed pf 75% of players from Lyonesse and 25% from other areas. However, these days the Lions have flipped their roster composition with 75% being from other areas and the 25% being from the most elite Lyonesse province prospects because of the ability to recruit without financial restrictions. The Lions are known to be well drilled at the fundamentals of the sport. There is little room for experimentation, but everyone must do their job. Despite not being an emphasized position on the Patriots' roster the team utilizes a two catcher look because winning still matters in college ball and this level of the sport emphasizes scoring. The Lyonesse State Lions are the pride of northwestern Bretonnia.

Origin: Lyonesse State began playing football in 2024. . LSU was considered a basketball school prior to the annual allotments from the Lyonesse Patriots were being provided to the school. The opportunity to have a developmental team was leapt at and this was due to the sport embracing a semi-professional status starting in 2024. The Lions' inaugural match pits them against Sokol Lynsk Politekhnika which resulted in a final score of ___ with the ___ emerging as the victors. The fast paced play of 7s involves a change of pace from the grinding professional style of ball. LSU will look forward to representing the Patriot franchise onfield.

Affiliation: LSU is a founding member of the reestablished DLE College 7s, and the True North Conference or the TNC. The school has not played football prior to this event, but the matches are on a grander scale due to the fans clamoring for more football. It is a natural fit because the province of Lyonesse is a northern territory that relates to the culture of other northern schools. The owner of the Patriots vouched for the Lions to join the TNC. The Lions strive to top the conference and win a college championship every year mostly due to the expectations set by the Patriots and the local fans that have related the newfound capital investment to increased expectations. Due to this team joining during a restart of the college format there are not any starting advantages. However, if the Lions do their job, winning matches will become a natural state of affairs at Lyonesse State University.

Rivals: The Lyonesse State University Lions do not have any rivalries currently. The college is open to rivalries that have historical resonance. Although, if another team declares the Lions as their rival the pride of the players will elevate that game into becoming a rivalry. However, the style of play will likely remain the same because of the "do your job," mentality instilled in the players via the Lyonesse Patriots' influence over the school's athletics. It is not a prideful haughtiness associated with LSU, but a workman like approach that has an appreciation of excellence at their craft. However, this higher standard can come off as being prideful. The Lions will likely develop many rivals in the near future.

Seasons: S1: The goal of season 1 involves winning a regular season standings championship and winning the leagues' postseason, a Fan Factor of 5 at least, and the have a team that has at least one skill on every player by the end of the season.

G1: The Aethons scored a quick TD which made the Patriots' ownership wince at the thought of a wasted investment in LSU. However, the diverted trainers, coaching, and capital soon proved worthwhile as the match ended 2-1 in the Lions' favor. Übersreik were held in check after a late score.

G2: The Middenheim Wolves are a subsidiary college team of the Classics. The Classics are a rival of the Patriots' that have poured their resources into the Lions. It was a closely fought match that ended in a draw. There was not an event that would lead to a rivalry necessarily, but LSU will keep note of these contenders.

G3: The Osburg Crushers are a subsidiary team of the Reikland Wreckers. Similar to Lyonesse and Middenheim they have began to bankroll the Crushers as a developmental team. It was a closely played game with the Lions controlling the first half and the Crushers clinching a draw in the second. The teams continue to echo their major league teams.
