Count Vladimir began his career as a Blood Bowl player as almost all other vampires; He got a few of his long-fanged mates persuaded to the idea and rounded up all the able-bodied men from the local village. But after his first match he was shocked deeply when the crowd gave another player the coveted Man-Of-the-Match award.
"What," he thought," I did all the work, I look the best and I got the idea in the first place!"
Nevermore he swore to himself, would anyone else than he get this award. So he did the only sensible thing; he joined the fabled and slightly mad tournament "There can be only one", now sure that he forever would be the crowd favorite from then on. To make sure of this, he gave himself a suitable pompous nickname, and he now threatens all onlookers to scream out his name often at matches and has even built a throne for himself, on which he receives the MVP that he is now certain of receiving.

Game 1:
Against a lone Ogre who began by beating Vlad up and score a TD. Then in turn 8 of first half the Ogre tried to score a second TD, needing only a single GFI, but failed it and broke his neck and was instantly killed. Vlad could then use the entire second half to score TDs and managed to score three times. From observing the Ogres fighting style Vlad taught himself how to Block efficiently.

Games 2 & 3:
Both an Orc Blitzer and a Gutter Runner both proved to be scared by Vladimir. Scared enough to not dare to face him, and simply stayed away from the field. This was of course fine b Vlad, as he spent the entire "match" going from one side of the crowd to the other waving, making them chant and so on, until they had all gone and he was left alone, high on the crowds love.

Game 4:
After the last two opponents exhilarating fear of Vladimir, he was feeling pretty much on top of the world. Unfortunately all it took to bring him down again was a Bull Centaur. A Bull with a strength of 5 and Frenzy. Needless to say, but Vlad never saw what hit him, where the ball was or where the ladies were. He was smacked up, down and around so hard that he lost the match 3-0. But at least he found out that you can never have too much Strength so he figured he better weight lift some and got some more upper body strength (+1S).

Game 5:
Vladimir almost laughed as he saw the fragile being that dared to oppose him at the beginning of this match. Well actually, he did laugh, for just a second or two before he saw that the dancing Elf was already more than halfway to the endzone, ready for a TD. After having swallowed a bit of old blood, Vlad began to race after him, and only just managed to retrieve the ball and score a TD. Then, again, the Elf, sped past him and this time there was no stopping him. Angry Vlad afterwards did the only sane thing an insane Vampire would and could do, crowd-pushed the irritating Elf, who had left himself open to just such an event. The crowd loved this sharing of food from the vamp, and everyone lived happily ever after. (well apart from the Elf who lived ever after with a scar on his face from where he hit the stands, but who cares about elves anyways? They are just a kind of mutated long goblins right? And everyone knows that goblins breed as mice and rats so...). Anyways, Vladimir found some sense in learning how to Tackle his opponents and would today have been able to stop the nimble Elf. (Why are skills always one match behind?)

Game 6:
Vladimir, the Superstar, was pleased to see an old chum from Sylvania enter the field for this match. Of course the counts of Klingstein owe allegiance to the Vladimirov so Vladimir thought this would be an easy one where Sigvard would just step aside. Not so, barely a minute into the game and Sigvard von Coward had punched poor Vlad in his pretty face and run a TD. Angry, very angry, Vlad decided to smack this so called "thrall" around a bit. This worked amazingly and after a couple of rounds doing this, Sigvard was suddenly a lot more interested in some 60-year old poppcorn seller named Brÿnhilda, whom he consistently tried to get to instead of stopping Vlad. Needless to say this and Vlads supervampire powers made the endgame fairly easy. All in all a good game, and it will be a while before any of the Klingstein's dare oppose their rightly masters again.
