The Forest Flyers were formed to play in the Grudge League. They gathered the fastest, most agile wood elves around. Their motto is speed, and lightning fast passing is what they do best.

Unfortunately, at first, lightning fast catching was out of their reach. Their first game, although against other elves, showed a horrible ineptitude when it came to catching. The coach started a rigorous training program to increase their catching skills which he hoped would pay off in the next matches.

In the second the match the training showed off immediately after a great two turn touch down that involved some key dodging and a short pass. The buzz this touchdown created was far too distracting however, as they utterly failed at stopping the chaos stampede down the field. This in turn got their spirits down by so much that they fumbled their own drive and the chaos team managed a second touchdown! At half time, the coach threatened to cut some players if they didn't do what they were paid for, and apparently this worked, as the elves did their utmost best to stop the chaos drive towards a third touchdown. About halfway down the second half the chaos team made a critical mistake and the elves jumped on the ball like a pack of starved hyena's. Some sprinting and yet another caught pass later the game ended with a tie at 2-2. The coach was not happy, but at least he wasn't hitting anyone when this game ended.

The third match, our first match in the Great Grudgebowl preliminaries, was a victory! It was a victory mostly because two opposing key players were out. The game started out disastrous for the Flyers. Only rigorous training kept their first drive on track, and because of a key action failing on the Men of Valor's part, the Flyers got an early touchdown.
The Men returned with a near unstoppable drive which tied the score halfway through the first half. Then disaster struck: Out of nowhere the blue sky turned overcast and heavy rainfall started pouring on the pitch. In the second half the weather changed again completely, and the now burning sun turned the soggy pitch into a steaming swamp. Some luck and a lot of rigorous training allowed the elves to win the game 4 - 1. The coach was convinced there was a wizard tied into that sudden weather change, but could not figure out which side the magic was supposed to help.
More good news after the match: The team's treeman, Deeproot, which had been hired at the same time as the rest of the team, finally arrived at the stadium after a long and slow journey to take his spot on the LoS.

The fourth match was against a horribly scary chaos team. We lost, unfortunately, but it was not by a lack of trying. An unfortunate stumble in our first drive cost us a touchdown, and even though we managed to score a touchdown by a brilliant action by Liveysat, the chaos cage was unstoppable. But the coach was not unhappy about their performance.

The fifth match was a solid victory! The 2 big trolls the Bunnies were using were obviously not scary enough, because the Flyers just went ahead and bashed those tiny goblins from the field. Luck was not on the opponent's side, as some of their key actions failed, allowing the Flyers to score a total of 4 touchdowns. Needless to say, the coach was pleased.

After the match it turned out some goblins had put the boot in a few times, as 2 Flyers developed a niggling injury during training. There was also good news after the match, as a new recruit joined the team, Arirogr Dunepath playing on the wardancer position. Freshly recruited from a junior team, he shows a lot of promise.

6th game: The Flyers lost to a solid Pro Elf team, and decided to withdraw from the Great GrudgeBowl because the team could not compete seriously compete in the tournament in it's present shape.(or at least, that was the official excuse)

7th game: a Friendly match with the "80s Toon Villains" resulted in an undeserved win. Before and after this match, the players displaying niggling injuries were let go and sent back to the woods. Only 10 elves were left to face the next opponent.
