The New Zaggarund Quakes, or 'The NZQ' as they are known to their fans, were formed as a pet project by established Chaos Dwarf player <font color="red"><b>Thor Thunderstorm</b></font>, Centaur and Team Captain for Odins Obliterators. With Thor's numerous sponsorship deals such as his previous deal as the <i>'Face of Reebork</i>', the Cenatur has found himself with an abundance of money (and hay), so decided that he would help bring up the next generation of Chaos Dwarf players. Whilst they played well, the New Zaggarund Quakes found themselves struggling to counter both the speed and the strength of the Lizardmen, and ended up finishing the first round of the Winter Season in 2nd place. Still, they remained undefeated and hoped that with the right coaching from Thor they can prove that they have what it takes to be the premier side in Division One. Time would tell whether Thor could coach his team to greatness...

In the first match of the second round, the NZQ finally showed the kind of ruthless aggression that Thor expected of them, totally decimating the Halfling Cowboys, causing over TWELVE in game casualties, with eight of those carrying forward off the pitch, with many of the refusing to play the next scheduled match, and two of them seriously injured. Punishing the Halflings this much made it impossible for them to recover, earning them the distiction of being the first team 'Retired' by the NZQ, but this wasn't a concern for the Quakes, who were aiming for the Division One cup with more determination than ever. This reign of terror has yet to end through the evolution of the league, progressing through the Division One to the joining of the Leagues, right through to the current North & South Divide. Along the way three teams have been retired by the devestation brought by the NZQ, and a further three have come close, only surviving through sheer determination to stay alive. However, the Quakes are always looking for the next Victim of their Retired List.

!! Face Of Charity 'Get The Ref' 2008 Is Toraz Again !!</b></big></CENTER>

The New Zaggarund Quakes are proud to announce following their tremendous year with Reeborc, the two have decided to split ways on great terms.

<i>"We have had a great year with Reeborc, but at the end of the day Reeborc has a commitment to the up and coming teams and promoting new talent, and quite rightly too. But lets be about right, the New Zaggarund Quakes are not rookies anymore, and our 'Face of Reeborc' Toraz Taze is himself a veteran of the team. So after a long talk between us all, we decided that we'd have to part ways. However, we're looking forward to seeing who they choose next."
- Lord Iscariot, CEO of the New Zaggarund Quakes</i>

Although it seems Reeborc and the NZQ have parted on friendly ways, it remains to be seen if it will stay that way with the announcement of their newest sponsor, <b>Orca Cola</b>. Providing quality drinks for years, they are one of the biggest compaies across the Old World.

<i>"We're about excellence and acheivement, about professionalism and perfection, and to us that just screams Orca Cola. With a multi-million gold peice contract to sponsor us right through to the next year, we've got a chance to prove to everyone we were not just a rookie sensation but that we can continue to be a great team against the best of the best, until we ARE the best of the best. We have intelligence, integrity and intensity, and we're confident that we can win more titles and competitions than ever before. Oh it's true, it's DAMN true!"
- Harzuk 'The Demolisher', team Captain of the NZQ</i>

This year the NZQ is also delighted to be working in collaboration with the world renowned charity 'Get The Ref'. GTR has been operating for the last ten years since the infamous season of '97 when over thirty league matches were played without a single foul committed, players fearful of the referees decision. Some teams, like the infamous and well respected Kharadrim Medics, hail from this era and long for the days of honour and fair play. However, many fans long for the Blood of Blood Bowl to spill across the field, and the 'GTR' fund was set up to enable teams to do just that.

<i>"Every year you know that Triple T is gunna go out there and condense the nonsense, that ain't no lie, but thousands of players out there are still tippy-toeing all up in this place, and the Referees of the world are out there, sending off the players that we all wanna see on our screens. Toraz Taze knows that if we can get out there and let the people know they together they CAN make a difference, we can see those refs that destroy the game we love take a ride on the pain train baby, WOOAH!"
- "Terrible" Toraze Taze, #56 for the New Zaggarund Quakes</i>
