gate: 59000)<br />Well, the game was... interesting? Despite me receiving first I couldn't do much to prevent him scoring a 2 turn TD: First he got a devastating perfect defense, than I got double 1 on a GFI with reroll. From turn 4 or 5 on the game got buggy: It started with Raw having a disconnect and immediate reconnect. I told him several times that we had to reload the match but he just played on and told me to sync my game to his. Well, next turn I couldn't select my ball carrier so we had to reload. After several failed attempts we finally managed to get the game going again. But after only 1 or 2 turns Raw had another disconnect. We tried, I think, 4 or 5 times until we got the game running again. That is, only after me telling him to reload, him finishing his turn (with off sync dice rolls) and me telling him that I couldn't select any of my players. After the reload I was surprised to find several of my players down - on my client they all had only been pushed back, leaving none of my players in scoring range. Well, bad luck, I guess. So off we went but suddenly (still first half) the dice were out of sync again. And again Raw didn't want to reload but told me to sync and play on. Well, I did... Suddenly I found myself in turn 9 first half? I clicked 'turn' and we went for half time. After setting up for second half the game suddenly was over and uploaded. No important action seemed to work and our oponent scored at will. Despite having several chances to score ourselves we were already down 0-2 at halftime. The second half started with us missing some prayers, obviously, as the elves intercepted a pass and nearly made it to the endzone. Only a heroical action by Jarred Allen, who brought down the ball carrier, Travis LaBoy, who picked up the ball and passed it to Jacques Reeves, who finally dodged his oponent and ran the touchdown in prevented a complete disaster. However, getting a quick snap and a blitz against us made it impossible to tie the game and allowed our oponent to score a third and in the end even a fourth touchdown. At least our team is now ready for Speedbowl season II.<br /><br /><br><a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=1931240">vs. Human Exitus</a> (2007-11-17, gate: 67000)<br><br />The game started with an early touchdown for us! Jacques Reeves caught a pass by C.J.Mosley despite being marked, dodged twice an ran the ball in in turn 2. Exhausted by the heat a lino and a blitzer of our oponents needed a break only to see it starting raining. After a short center field brawl an oposing catcher could break free with the ball but was caught by our deep safeties just in time. Gladly they took the ball off of him, another pass from Mosley to Stanley Wilson, and we scored again just before halftime.<br>Second half started with Human Exitus on the offence and the rain ending. We were not able to prevent a fast 2 turn touchdown but realiated immediately by again Jacque Reeves catching a pass by Mosley in a tackle zone, dodging away and scoring. Although Jeff Feagles was still injured and C.J. Mosley refused to be on the pitch together with Rashad Baker we were able to score twice with our catchers (who both were rewarded enhanced blocking ability by Nuffle) while holding our oponents at only one touchdown.<br /><br><br><a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=1917009">vs. Bay Hackers</a> (2007-11-08; gate: 67000)<br><br />Very unlucky game for us ended 1-1. We should have won 3-1 at least but Nuffle decided that we just couldn't make the last actions to score. We couldn't cross the endzone border with a rerolled GFI, we couldn't pick up the ball (with reroll), and we couldn't make that last neccessary block. Bringing down the enemy ball carrier proved near to impossible - 5 consecutive block dice brought not a single POW or POW/SKULL. We also missed that most important GFI that would have ensured us a 2nd touchdown. Same for that last turn try with a pick up and two GFI - of course, the pick up failed...<br>At least Eric Montblanc and Chad Owens learned how to support their team mates even if covered by an enemy player! We also welcome another promising player - Ken Shackleford.<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=1904597">vs. Altdorf Tornadoes</a> (2007-10-30; gate: 46000)<br><br>We must pray harder, we must pray more, and we must convert more infidels to Nuffle! Obviously our great god was not satisfied as he didn't allow us to to any important action (we failed at least 6 3+ actions with reroll). In the end we were 3-0 down as suddenly our players got a grip on blocking and did the teams first casualties. Also, Rashad Baker scored a wonderful touchdown to bring the score to a final 1-3.<br><br><br><a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=1899984">vs. Barak Varr Bashers</a> (2007-10-28; gate: 45000)<br /><br />Being down 10 players to 11 right from the beginning this match was a hard one. The Bashers received and scored, decimating the Paradise even further along the way. Although overall we had bad luck it was still enough to even the score in the first half. Second half was a hopeless one. No GFI succeeded, no throw arrived at the intended target, and the Bashers made their name honor as nearly every block showed at least one POW. Being down to 6 players we could only delay but not prevent the 1-2. At least we got enough money to convert a young player to our glorious religion and get ourselves a new blitzer. Welcome, Chad Owens!<br /><br><br><a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=1899570">vs. Bay Hackers</a> (2007-10-27; gate: 56000)<br /><br />A solid win. The Bay Hackers left their ball carriers open a bit too much so I could bring him down, secure the ball myself, and score. Unfortunately, as the game was already decided, lineman Tony McDaniel died. As he had scored the team's first touchdown the team also lost 3 SPP which left a sad taste about that game.
